Pix-Moments Privacy Policy
Local moments and photos, manual backups and optional Google Play purchases.
Summary
Pix-Moments stores your moments and photos on your Android device. There is no app account, Google sign-in or Google Drive connection. The app does not automatically synchronize your data. There is no advertising, analytics, behavioural tracking or remote crash-reporting service. Pix-Kit does not receive or sell your moments or photos.
Local information and photos
The app stores titles, dates, descriptions, types, categories, appearance, card layouts, milestones, reminders, archive status and photo series in private Android storage. Local identifiers, edit revisions, deleted-record markers, widget associations and notification delivery records support editing and prevent duplicate actions. They are not advertising identifiers. Theme, language and other app preferences are also stored locally. For each Moment, the selected front or back camera and the separate zoom values for both cameras are saved on this device and restored when you return to the camera.
Photo capture requires contextual camera permission. Cover selection uses Android's photo picker, without broad photo-library access. App-owned copies are saved privately; original gallery photos are not changed or deleted. Photo alignment and camera guidance run on the device. Captured originals and aligned copies can be included in manual backups.
Android system cloud backup and automatic device-transfer backup are disabled. The local database and ZIP exports do not have a separate encryption password. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes local information; export a backup first if you want to keep a copy.
Photo sharing
The photo viewer can share one original captured JPEG through Android's system Sharesheet. Sharing is initiated only when you tap Share photo and select a receiving app. The selected app receives temporary read access to that photo, including its original resolution and embedded metadata. Pix-Moments does not resize, recompress or upload the photo, and does not create an extra local export copy. The receiving app may store, upload or compress it under its own terms. Copies already received by another app are outside Pix-Moments and are not deleted when you delete the original Moment or photo.
Manual backup and timelapse export
Settings can export or import a ZIP containing moments, descriptions, photos, milestones and supported preferences. The empty home screen also offers backup import. Purchase receipts, complimentary activation codes, device-specific camera preferences, review reminders, widget host IDs and notification delivery records are excluded. Imports are validated and preserve existing records, creating copies when identifiers conflict.
Premium export creates a silent MP4 or looping GIF locally. Photos share the chosen duration evenly; capture dates determine order, not display time. GIF encoding also runs on the device and does not transmit the photos to an encoding service. Temporary export files remain in private cache until you choose a destination. They are cleaned after completion or cancellation; abandoned files become eligible for cleanup on the next export after 24 hours. Saved exports remain under your control.
You choose ZIP, MP4 and GIF destinations using Android's document picker. A selected document provider may upload a file under its own terms. Pix-Moments itself does not automatically synchronize your data. Exported files are not password protected and must be deleted separately from app data.
Cloud copies created by retired synchronization features are not retrieved or deleted by the current app. Manage those copies separately with the service where they are stored; clearing local app data or uninstalling does not delete them.
Widgets, reminders and deletion
Widgets and notifications can expose your content to anyone who can see your home or lock screen, depending on Android settings. Notifications are optional and require permission where applicable. Android may delay background work. Time-sensitive notifications and alarms can request Android exact-alarm access. A foreground audio service runs only while an alarm is ringing, with a visible Stop control and a five-minute limit. Alarm audio uses system sound settings; Pix-Moments does not record audio or upload alarm schedules. Alert choices are stored with each Moment and included in manual backups; Android permission grants and pending alarm identifiers stay on the device.
Deleting a moment is confirmed with an irreversible-deletion warning. It removes the record, saved camera preferences, app-owned photos and aligned copies, cached previews and related temporary timelapse exports, and clears linked widget and notification content. Photos still referenced by another moment, including an archived moment, are retained. Cleanup starts immediately; if interrupted, a local list of image filenames allows it to retry during maintenance or after restarting the app. This list is not included in backups.
Archiving keeps the moment and all its photos and pauses its reminders. Local deleted-record markers prevent stale edits from restoring a deleted identifier. The seven-day cleanup grace period applies only to other unused files, such as abandoned editor drafts, not to confirmed photo deletions. Original gallery photos and separately saved ZIP, MP4 or GIF exports are unaffected. Notification delivery records are pruned after seven days during maintenance.
Premium and review reminders
Google Play processes the optional one-time Premium purchase. Pix-Moments receives the product identifier, purchase status, token and signed receipt used to verify and restore access. A receipt is retained privately for offline access. Google Play handles payment card details; Pix-Kit does not receive them. Purchase records are excluded from backups. Uninstalling clears the local receipt; access can be restored with the purchasing Google Play account. Google processes billing under its own terms and privacy policy.
Complimentary Premium codes supplied by the developer are verified on the device. The entered code is retained in private storage and is excluded from backups and device transfers. It contains a random identifier and a signature, not your name, email address or device identifier. The app does not contact an activation server. Removing the activation or uninstalling clears local access; a reinstall requires entering the code again.
Review reminders store first-use time, active-day counts, reminder dates and whether reminders were stopped. These settings remain local and are not exported. Choosing to rate opens Google Play. Pix-Moments cannot read whether you submitted a review or its rating. Automatic invitations stop when you choose to rate or say you already reviewed.
Security, contact and changes
Private Android storage, validated inputs and transactional writes help protect app data. No system guarantees complete security. Opening the public policy uses your browser and the website host's services; it does not upload your moments. If you contact support, we receive only information you choose to send.
Pix-Moments is a general date-tracking utility. Pix-Kit does not knowingly collect children's moment data on its servers. This policy is updated when data practices change. Store disclosures must reflect the versions being distributed.
