Privacy Policy
Pix-Data helps users create structured lab notebooks and custom data tables, then optionally back up their databases to Google Drive.
Summary
Pix-Data is designed to work mainly on your device. Google Drive synchronization is optional and is used only when you choose to connect it. Pix-Data does not sell personal data, does not use advertising tracking, and does not collect analytics for advertising purposes.
1. Information Pix-Data handles
Pix-Data may handle the following information when you choose to use its features:
- Custom database names, table names, columns, rows, and cell values you create.
- Numeric measurements, alphanumeric notes, automatic IDs, color-coded labels, units, formulas, and conversion settings.
- Saved Pix-Data database files, backup archives, and metadata such as modification date and last saved date.
- Google account authorization information shown by Google Drive after you choose to connect, such as the account used for synchronization.
Pix-Data does not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, or tracking data for advertising purposes.
2. Local storage
Pix-Data databases are saved locally on your device so that you can reopen and edit them later. Local saved data may include database structure, columns, rows, labels, colors, formulas, unit conversion settings, recorded values, and export settings.
You can delete saved databases from inside the app. Removing the app from your device may also remove local app data depending on Android system behavior and your backup settings.
3. Google Drive synchronization
Google Drive synchronization is optional. If you choose to connect Google Drive, Pix-Data uses your permission to save and restore Pix-Data backup archives in your own Google account.
Pix-Data uses Google Drive app-specific storage when available. The app requests access only for storing and restoring Pix-Data data, not for browsing all of your Drive files.
Google may process your data according to Google's own privacy policy. You can revoke Pix-Data access from your Google account settings at any time.
4. Export and sharing
Pix-Data can export database tables to spreadsheet-compatible files such as CSV. When you use Android sharing features, you choose the destination app or service. Pix-Data does not control how another app, email provider, cloud service, or spreadsheet app handles the file after you share it.
5. Permissions
Depending on the version of Android and the features you use, Pix-Data may request permissions or access flows for:
- File sharing or document creation access, when you export or share a table.
- Google Drive authorization, when you choose Google Drive synchronization.
These permissions are used only to provide the feature you selected.
6. Data sharing
Pix-Data does not sell your personal data. Pix-Data does not share your database content with advertisers. Data is shared only when you choose to export, share, or synchronize it through a third-party service such as Google Drive.
7. Children’s privacy
Pix-Data is a utility app for structured data entry and lab-style record keeping. It is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us so we can help address the issue.
8. Security
Pix-Data uses platform authorization flows for Google Drive. Cloud access tokens are used only to perform the synchronization actions requested by the user. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but the app is designed to minimize access by using limited cloud scopes and app-specific cloud storage where possible.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as Pix-Data evolves. When changes are made, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated.
